“The ability to think is God’s gift to you. And what you think about is your gift to yourself.”
Prem Rawat
The above quote gives us all we need to witness our freedom. It explains in a wonderful way how we are free. We choose where we direct our thoughts and what purpose we give our life.
We are embedded in the laws of physics. But how we use those laws is our choice. We can build a boat, a bicycle, or nothing at all. We are embedded in the laws of thought. But we choose to use our thinking to gain knowledge or we choose not to use it. We choose the content of our thoughts. That is our freedom.
Decide today to write down matters that pull you down. Make a plan when and how to address those matters. Now you can use the rest of your time to think about something that makes you happy. You can actively search beautiful things and give them your attention. That freedom was given to you. If you choose to accept it, you can experience your freedom.
Freedom is a prominent topic in philosophy. We will return to freedom in many articles. There are different opinions and theories around freedom. We will investigate those and see what they are based on. It is surprisingly easy to defend freedom, if you approach those questioning it in a scientific way.
